Our Story
I was born and raised in the Catskill Mountains. For the past decade, I've lived in New York City, seven of those years in Brooklyn.
Brooklyn became home. But the Catskills never stopped being home either.
Growing up there gave me an appreciation for where things come from, the people who make them, and the care that goes into doing something well. It's a place shaped by the land, by the seasons, and by people who have built lives around growing, making, and creating.
For the past decade, I've carried that appreciation with me to the city. Somewhere along the way, I began thinking about what it would look like to bring together the different worlds that have shaped me.
Catskills Cupboard grew from that idea.
A way to share the food, makers, craftsmanship, and sense of place that I love about where I come from and to capture some of the feeling that comes with it. The discovery of a roadside farm stand. Something made by hand. Food worth gathering around. Things you find, love, and want to bring home with you.
Something from home, brought home.
